Thoughts on Cancer
Cancer. In 2007, cancer was the cause of 13% of all human deaths worldwide, and 155-180 people per 100,000 in the U.S. will die from cancer (source here). Why is cancer so deadly? Is it even alive? Why haven’t doctors developed a single direct cause for this disease? Why haven’t they found a real cure for cancer? Why isn’t cancer contagious? These are the questions I wish to answer briefly today.
First, why is cancer so deadly? First of all, cancer is a disease that is caused by the cell’s self destruct gene suffering a mutation, making it so that the cells live forever, unless destroyed by an outside source. Sadly, the immune system of most victims (more…)
